Optional live-sale alerts
We save your notification choices, consent records, and delivery status. App notifications use an encrypted device subscription and your browser’s push service (such as Apple, Google, Mozilla, or Microsoft); the service handles delivery to your device. If you choose email or text alerts, we use Resend or Twilio to send confirmation codes and live-sale announcements to the contact you verify. We do not sell your mobile number or SMS consent, or share them with third parties for their own marketing. You can turn off alerts in your account; emails include an unsubscribe link and texts support STOP. Removing app data or changing devices may require enabling alerts again.
Alien Taste accounts
You can create an account using your name, email, and password without Facebook. Passwords are stored as salted password hashes, and recovery codes are stored as hashes. Login sessions expire after 30 days. A new email and password account does not automatically receive access to earlier customer order history; the owner can connect the records after verifying your identity.
Shipping services
When the seller requests shipping rates or purchases a label, Shippo and the selected carrier receive the sender and delivery address, package details, and contact information needed for shipment. The seller can record carrier tracking and delivery status in this app.
Information used
If you sign in with Facebook, this app receives your Facebook account ID, name, and email address if Facebook provides it. You can enter a billing email, name, and shipping address. The seller records the items you buy during a live sale, item photographs, invoice requests, invoices, payment status, and shipment tracking. Item photos are visible to the customer whose order includes the item and to the owner and assigned administrators.
How it is used
The seller uses this information to match you to your orders, send PayPal invoices, and arrange shipment. The app stores a login session so you can return to your orders. It does not request access to your Facebook posts or messages. Payment card details are handled by PayPal and are not stored in this app.
Who can see it
The Alien Taste owner and administrators the owner assigns can see customer and order details. PayPal receives invoice details when an invoice is created. The site hosting service stores the app data needed to run the service.
Keeping and removing data
Facebook login sessions expire after 30 days or can be ended by signing out. You can request removal of your Facebook connection. The owner can remove your Facebook ID, name, and app sessions. Order, billing, and shipping records may remain when needed to complete an order or maintain transaction records.
